Abstract
Cities cannot live alone; instead of need the surrounding area these are, the main reasons for every city to have a specific geographical area, that the city independent of in the life and developing. This geographical area that the city has communicated with surrounding regions, not easy a determinate, there forewe have different methodse determinate . the ographical area that, known as functional regin , therefore this hardy interaction that the city has with the surrounding area, as result the main reason to buld regional centers. Thus the cities cannot live alone; they make an organic and historical communication with each other’s. The significant of this research willbe the main principal for the planning of Raniyadistrict; with attempt for have a plan and developing in Raniya and surrounding regions. At this time we can know, how much the city has services for surrounding area by theircareers, at this time the aim of this research is to determine the functional county for the research area, because determine of functional county city the first step to have succeed planning process and developing region, and also can independent for rearrangement an administrative border of the region. The research area has been developing, it is the main reason for evolution and development of functional types, and also it is the factor of extendedand expanding on functional county Raniya district. The hypothesis of the research is the study area has asignificant of site and situation geography, and also the city developed in demographic and inhabited area, and surrounding by many cities districts, sub districts and villages, as well the hypothesis of the research is the border of functional county city not proportional with the administrative boundary .Therefore for getting agood aims the research used analyses, comparative and regional methodologies. B The content of this research is consisting of four main themes, that each themeiscontaining some units. The first theme is the theoretical border of study area that divided for three units; firstunit is about of definition of terms and idioms. Second unit is about previously researches. Third unit is to definition of geographical dimensions of study area. The second theme about the dimensions of population growth in Raniya district that consist of three units: The first units area bout of population growth stages in Raniya district. Second unitsare about of the dimensions of natural increase in Raniya district. Third unit is about of immigration. Third theme is about of extend and expanding Raniya district area; that consist of two units. First unit is about of expansion of functional area in Raniya district. The second unit is about of population growth and effects of extending of Raniya district and functional area. Forth theme that the last theme of this study is about of border and impact of functional county Raniya district, it is consist of two units: first unit is about of theoretical the region of the city. Second unit is about of determinate of administrative boundary and effect of functional county Raniya district on surrounding regions.
